My duty is to take care of all the details which includes having your marriage license legally recorded. Experience has taught me that flexibility is what makes planning your event a success. Every single ceremony I perform is truly heartfelt with a complete focus on your wishes.

As an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, it is my philosophy that your wedding, elopement, renewal of vows or commitment ceremony is a celebration of love, commitment, and life itself. Together, we'll work to make it a joyful beginning, to create a ceremony that reflects and honors your beliefs and traditions, be they Christian, Interfaith, Non-denominational or Spiritual. My wish is for your ceremony to suit you, not me.

I truly enjoy performing weddings. This is one of the most important events in your life, and to be part of it is both exhilarating and humbling.

Elope Mendocino’s Philosophy on Commitment Ceremonies:

Elope Mendocino believes the most important thing to understand about a commitment ceremony is that it does not involve laws or government agencies in any way. There are no marriage licenses or certificates, and the participants' legal status does not change after the ceremony.

While commitment ceremonies are not recognized as true marriages in California, this does not preclude the fact that people who love one another often want to recognize their love by declaring it in front of family and friends. Elope Mendocino would be honored to help you create and organize the ceremony of your dreams, in a location that is a guaranteed perfect backdrop for your special day. This certainly pertains to same-sex commitments. Elope Mendocino is gay friendly and of the very staunch belief that love cannot be legislated.
